Account Executive - Washington, D.C.
Reports to: DC General Manager, dotted line to President
Position SummaryKatsam is seeking a highly motivated and relationship-driven Account Executive to support growth within the facilities management, property management, and commercial real estate industries. This role is responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing strategic customer relationships, supporting our General Managers, and driving revenue growth across the Washington, D.C. market. The ideal candidate has experience working within or alongside facilities management, property management, janitorial services, building operations, vendor compliance, or commercial real estate operations and understands the broader customer ecosystem.
This role combines business development, relationship management, operational support, and sales coordination. The Account Executive will identify and qualify high-quality opportunities and coordinate closely with Katsam leadership and the DC General Manager to support growth initiatives across the market. CRM management and pipeline accountability are core functions of this role. Direct Hub Spot experience is highly preferred.
- Develop and manage relationships with customers across the facilities management, property management, and commercial real estate sectors in the Washington, D.C. market
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, and inbound lead activity
- Generate and hand off high-quality opportunities to General Managers and operational leadership teams
- Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline while actively managing opportunities through the full sales cycle
- Support the DC General Manager with business development initiatives, account coordination, and customer relationship management
- Understand customer operational challenges and position Katsam’s solutions effectively within the facilities and property management ecosystem
- Conduct discovery meetings, presentations, product demonstrations, and proposal discussions with prospective customers
- Maintain highly detailed and accurate customer records, pipeline activity, forecasting, follow-up tasks, and opportunity tracking within Hub Spot CRM
- Ensure strong pipeline discipline, CRM accountability, and proactive communication across teams
- Collaborate internally to support onboarding, customer success, operational coordination, and account expansion initiatives
- Develop long-term strategic relationships with property managers, facilities leaders, ownership groups, vendors, and operational stakeholders
- Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and market opportunities within commercial real estate and facilities operations
- Represent Katsam professionally at meetings, networking opportunities, and industry events
- Experience in facilities management, property management, commercial real estate, janitorial services, building operations, or related industries strongly preferred
- 3+ years of experience in B2B sales, account management, business development, customer relationship management, or operational support roles
- Direct Hub Spot CRM experience highly preferred
- Strong consultative sales and relationship-building skills
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up abilities
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and proactively
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced growth environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage operational and executive-level stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and accountability
