Role

Clarity is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Security Specialist to join our Security Team. This person will primarily assist the Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) with physical and personnel security management, administration, and coordination of various security programs as well as other security activities to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) with a variety of duties to assist in the implementation and maintenance of a compliant security program including but not limited to alarm response, secure area control, container access, badge and access control, incident investigation, classification management, and personnel security actions as required by the Department of Defense under the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other government regulations.
  • Support the implementation of all requisite national security directives with specific emphasis on DoD 5205.07 SAP Manual and exhibit the dedication and expectations of a security professional while working under the direct supervision of the Principal Security Specialist.
  • This Security Specialist works as a team player, exhibits flexibility, manages priorities, and meets customer expectations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Interact with internal and external customers and Government security officials in performance of security duties.
  • Perform physical security, security education and awareness, document & media control, personnel security, visitor control, as well as maintain security files, classified document management, and other security support activities as assigned.
  • Responsible for secure area and container access, briefing personnel of their responsibilities for having access to containers and secure areas, maintaining access rosters, lock/key control and assisting with audits of both areas and containers.
  • Assist with security violations investigations and prepare comprehensive reports for submission to the CPSO for review and necessary action.
  • Primary for visitor control process to include badging of personnel/visitors, escorting and conducting bag checks.
  • Support other miscellaneous security related tasks as assigned by the manager and leadership.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • 5-10 years of security experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CDSE Introduction to Special Access Programs (SAPs)
  • Strong working knowledge of SCIF/SAPF construction and accreditation.
  • Personnel Security experience
