Security Officer Part Time Access Control Patrol –
Herndon, VA
As a part-time security officer, you will safeguard clients across a range of industries, such as commercial real estate. You'll monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain visibility to reduce incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. This role supports tenants, guests, and property staff in a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, people-first culture, teamwork, and integrity.

Job Schedule- Mon: 05:00 PM - 12:00 AM
- Tue: 05:00 PM - 12:00 AM
- Wed: 05:00 PM - 12:00 AM
- Fri: 05:00 PM - 12:00 AM
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, property concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting issues through appropriate channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and support authorized entry procedures while communicating clearly with tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property management.
- Assist with security-related incident reporting, follow post orders, and support daily operations that help maintain an orderly environment at the location.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
