As a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time Mobile in Herndon, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.83 / Hour

How This Role Works:

* Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"):
You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

* Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:
In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

* Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for the location.

* Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting activity according to site protocols.

* Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, with working conditions that may vary by site.

* Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, observing site activity, and communicating with site contacts regarding security-related concerns.

* Support a professional presence at a technology-focused location by remaining prepared to address disturbances, assist with emergency situations, and/or follow post orders related to sensitive areas and equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

* Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.

* Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.

* Possess an armed guard card and/or license.

* Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.

* CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

* Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

* Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
