Position: Security Officer Patrol with Security Clearance

Position Overview

Security Officer Patrol with Security Clearance, HERNDON, VA.

Part Time.

Pay Rate: $24.37 / Hour.

Job Schedule:

Sat 06:00 AM – 05:00 PM;
Sun 06:00 AM – 05:00 PM.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, controlled areas, parking locations, and perimeter boundaries to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor logs, deliveries, and/or vehicle activity in accordance with site protocols and applicable post orders.
  • Support daily operations by preparing clear incident reports, noting policy violations, and assisting with directions, escorts, and other security-related customer service duties as needed.
Minimum Requirements
  • At least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • State, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Background investigation as required by all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Consideration given to qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • Subject to drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
  • Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
