Network Engineer

Position Overview

TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph required. We are seeking a talented and experienced Network Engineer—specializing in firewalls with expertise in Cisco, Palo Alto, and Netscaler—to support a key customer. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of network security principles, excellent problem‑solving skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining and optimizing firewall infrastructure.

• Design, implement, and manage firewall solutions utilizing Cisco, Palo Alto, and Net Scaler devices.
• Perform configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of firewall policies and rules.
• Monitor network traffic for potential security threats and proactively address vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure network security standards align with business objectives.
• Translate customer requirements into enterprise network solutions.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and best practices in network security and firewall technologies.
• Work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

• Minimum of 11 years’ experience working with firewall technologies.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer focusing on firewall technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong proficiency with Palo Alto and Cisco firewall platforms.
• In‑depth knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and OSI model.
• Experience with firewall management software such as Cisco FTD and Palo Alto Panorama.
• Broad understanding of technical principles and network design concepts.
• Cloud service provider and hybrid cloud experience (AWS, Azure, Oracle, Google).
• Industry certifications such as CCNA Security, CCNP Security, PCNSE, or equivalent.
