Dominion Energy has three (3) positions that can be filled as a Facilities Technician I or II, commensurate upon qualifications and experience. Successful candidates will be responsible for the NOVA Area. Dominion Energy's Facilities Management group is looking for a Facilities Technician I or a Facilities Technician II to work in the Facilities Critical Infrastructure Group out of our Northern Virginia region.
This position will perform building maintenance related tasks at Substations, Microwave Towers, POP sites, & Solar Facilities in a geographic region spanning throughout the southwestern and south-central operating territories. The duties of the position include, performing preventative maintenance, repair, and customer request work orders independently to ensure buildings & equipment operate at optimal performance. Tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and installs mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire systems, and emergency standby power systems independently.
Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
Additional responsibilities for the Facilities Technician I position:
- Assists with evaluating building and equipment conditions to provide leadership with repair solutions or improvement recommendations.
- Manages external vendors to ensure compliance with internal policies, OSHA regulations, and federal, state, or local code requirements.
- Completes or assists in testing, inspecting, and maintaining environmental or life safety systems to meet federal, state, and local compliance regulations.
Additional responsibilities for the Facilities Technician II position:
- Provides technical guidance and training to peers regarding equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Evaluates building and equipment conditions to provide leadership with repair solutions or improvement recommendations.
- Manages small O&M or capital improvement projects.
- Manages external vendors to ensure compliance with internal policies, OSHA regulations, and federal, state, or local code requirements.
- Completes or assists in testing, inspecting, and maintaining environmental or life safety systems to meet federal, state, and local compliance regulations.
