Full Stack Developer; DC Area

Overview

Rocket Communications is an enterprise UX Design company focused on designing mission-critical applications and systems. We are seeking a DC-area full-stack developer who has an active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility. This is a fully onsite role in Herndon, VA.

• You are a strong UI developer with 3+ years experience developing complex, intelligent, and secure web applications with modern web technologies, prioritizing client-side development.
• You have experience with front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript ES6+) and/or expertise in at least one object-oriented programming language such as Ruby, Python, PHP, or C++.
• You are knowledgeable about modern frameworks, with a strong preference for Angular.
• You have experience with or a strong interest in map libraries and data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js).
• You understand W3C compliance and key web application design principles.
• You enjoy working closely with both internal and external design teams, enjoy the UI/UX design process, ensure the feasibility of the design, clarify ambiguous designs, and build reusable code and components.
• You are willing to work onsite daily in Herndon, VA.
• You are a US Citizen who lives in the USA (due to Rocket's work with local and federal government agencies this is a firm requirement).

• Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
• Strong experience in front-end development and modern web technologies.
• Experience with Angular and interest in map/data visualization libraries.

• Understanding of government and enterprise work.
• Experience in server-side development.

The compensation package features an annual revenue bonus, contingent upon the company's financial success for the year. Rocket Communications determines the salary range for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external and internal equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth.

Our base salary offers are mainly determined by levels of experience.
