Peraton is seeking an experienced Senior Test Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton's Defense Mission and Health Solutions Sector, Durable Medical Equipment (DME) team.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding and experience with Software Development Life Cycle and Data Management. The candidate will work collaboratively with all entities involved in the project, other testers, developers, program leadership, business analysts, and the client.
This role is based out of Windsor Mill, MD. Depending on selected candidate's location, the role can be worked fully remote, hybrid, or onsite.
Responsibilities- Utilize technical skills to develop test plans, test cases/scripts, test automation.
- Execute test cases and document test execution artifacts.
- Develop, implement, and track project metrics to report testing status.
- Understand the use cases and business rules related to the system developed to communicate effectively with the client, stakeholders, and engineers.
- Develop and execute test cases for Section 508 compliance.
- Provide input to develop and maintain the project plan and schedule to meet all project objectives.
- Perform basic database queries to validate backend expected results.
- Manage test assignments and results through JIRA and Test Rail.
- Reviews and validates requirements and technical specifications.
- Develops and executes test plans and detailed test cases based on requirements and/or customer feedback and prioritization.
- Documents results; offer observations or improvements after analysis of test results and overall product quality.
- Collaborate with the development team on bug fix verification and validation.
- Supports, designs, develops, and enhances test processes and reporting for QA processes.
- Work within an Agile process through Sprint planning/close, and scrum meetings.
- Prepare material for customer meetings as required.
- Provide input for project decisions and risks.
- Provide test planning and execution estimates for new development activities.
- Effectively communicate to other team members information regarding code defects, code releases, requirements, acceptance criteria and environments status and needs.
- Mentor and assist junior software testing team members.
- Bachelor's with 5 years of experience or Master's with 3 years of experience.
- Experience with test tools such as Quick Test Pro, Test Rail, Cucumber, Micro Focus ALM, Visual Basic.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance prior to start date.
- Great customer relationship building and people skills.
- Strong software testing experience.
- Working experience with Jira, SCRUM, Selenium (and/or other automation framework).
- At least 3 years quality assurance experience in Agile Development environments.
- US Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Experience working in a deadline-driven environment, handling and prioritizing multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with Appium or Selenium Web Driver, and testing frameworks like TestNG, Junit, Postman.

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
