We are looking for Level 2-4 AI/ML Machine Learning Engineer candidates with at least 3 years of related experience and the ability to obtain a government Top Secret security clearance and SCI eligibility, and often a CI poly (U.S. citizenship required).
Your Mission is Ours. The Space AI Talent Center seeks a highly skilled AI/ML Machine Learning Engineer to join a cross-functional team of experts in research, data science, software development, physics, and mathematics. You will leverage cutting-edge AI/ML tools and techniques to tackle complex challenges in Space in support of national security. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of professionals, drive innovation, and contribute to solutions addressing critical problems in the Space domain.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will have advanced experience with and/or knowledge of AI/ML, Deep Learning, or Computer Vision, modern software development practices/languages, and a passion for math and science. Specific responsibilities include applying AI/ML techniques to space-related problems as part of a cross-functional team.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor s degree in a STEM discipline (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics) or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a related technical field
- Advanced experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, or Image Processing
- Experience with modern software development tools and practices
- Advanced degree in a STEM discipline
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages:
Python, Java, C++, C#, or MATLAB - Experience with Tensor Flow, PyTorch, Keras, or Scikit-learn
- Experience with RF, SAR or EO image processing algorithms/techniques
- Experience with AWS or another cloud computing platform
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment

- Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five-day week; some may be condensed. These schedules provide additional time away from the office and are in addition to Paid Time Off benefits.
- Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in CA, MA, NY (excluding major metros), CO, HI, IL, MD, MN, NJ, VT, WA or WA DC is $108,800 - $191,820. For other states, salary will reflect final work location. This range is a guideline; offers consider scope, responsibilities, experience, education, key skills, and market factors.

Additional Information- (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees accrue at least 10 hours per month of PTO for incidental absences and holidays; represented full-time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month and up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours prorated by start date.
