Required Skills and Demonstrated Experience- Ability to design, develop, and deploy modular cloud‑based systems.
- Experience developing software using languages such as Java and Python.
- Excellent programming skills to ensure proper interpretation and implementation of code.
- Documented experience working with data and relational mapping.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
- Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements and cost efficiencies.
- Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with customer best practices and guidance.
- Demonstrated experience working with an Agile Scrum‑based development team; interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on customer needs.
- Experience with Dev Ops platforms (Amazon Web Services: S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, Cloud Formation, etc.), Docker, and Ansible; documented experience with open‑source technology, software development, and system engineering.
- Demonstrated experience utilizing Dev Ops tools such as Git Hub and Jenkins to enable continuous integration and continuous delivery.
- Strong understanding of web services, API, and REST.
- Demonstrated experience working with an Agile Scrum‑based development team.
- Familiarity with the Assessment & Authorization process and associated artifact collection.
- Familiarity with Hadoop distributed file systems (HDFS).
- Background utilizing JIRA for documentation and tracking of software development tasks.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work experience. - Location:
Herndon, VA. - Hours:
Contract core hours, 9am – 3pm; after‑hours on‑call rotation is a requirement for this position (normally one week at a time, rotating approximately every eight weeks). - Security clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph.
