Software Engineer, MidAs a software engineer, you can resolve a problem with a complete end‑to‑end solution in a fast, agile environment. If you’re looking for the chance to not just develop software, but to help create a system that will make a difference, we need you on our team. We’re looking for an engineer like you with the skills needed to develop software and systems from vision to production‑ready.
This role is more than just coding. As a software engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll use your passion to learn new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. You’ll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You’ll help make sure the solution developed by the team considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.

What You’ll Bring- 2+ years of experience with object‑oriented programming languages, including Java or JEE
- Experience with backend frameworks, such as Spring Framework or Spring Boot
- Experience with API development, including REST architectural style
- Experience with Linux OS and command line interface
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- HS diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 compliant certification, including Security+ or CISSP, within 6 months of start date
- Experience with network security, including access and authorization for PKI and chain trusting
- Experience with writing unit tests and end‑to‑end testing
- Experience with non‑relational databases, including MongoDB
- Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Git, and Git Lab
- Knowledge of Apache NiFi and Kafka
- Ability to investigate root causes and provide corrective actions
- DoD 8570 compliant certification, including Security+ or CISSP certification
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
CompensationSalary range: $69,400.00 to $ (annualized USD). Additional benefits include health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits; paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work‑life programs, and dependent care. Full‑time and part‑time employees working at least 20 hours a week are eligible for Booz Allen’s benefit programs.
