Senior Software Developer - TS​/SCI

Job Description

We are searching for a full‑time Senior Software Developer at our Chantilly, VA location. The role leads teams in design, development, and maintenance of complex systems, focusing on signal processing, image processing, full‑motion video, mission planning, and data analytics. The developer works on multiple efforts, managing parts of the development process, from understanding customer requirements to design, development, testing, and deployment.

Senior members also assist with proposals and customer interaction.

• Work closely with engineers, analysts, and developers to brainstorm and implement creative solutions for customer needs.
• Share expertise in software development, signal processing, and data analytics to guide teams toward achieving program objectives.
• Take a leadership role in defining the technical direction, ensuring alignment with requirements and mission goals.
• Mentor junior team members on best practices, coding standards, and problem‑solving.
• Develop high‑quality software solutions using Python and C/C++ in a Linux environment.
• Collaborate to test and refine code, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Utilize AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and machine‑learning libraries such as PyTorch and Tensor Flow to enhance capabilities.
• Apply advanced techniques in digital signal processing, geolocation, and high‑performance computing.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to refine innovative approaches and technical designs.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders, fostering transparency.
• Research and integrate emerging technologies to keep the team ahead.
• Deliver functional, reliable, and impactful solutions supporting the warfighter.
• Take pride in seeing projects through from conception to deployment.

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in software design/development, data structures, and algorithms.
• TS/SCI clearance.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a Linux environment and software development.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Python and C/C++, and code management with Git or similar tools.

• Experience with X-Midas, OpenCV, AWS, Keras, Qt/PyQt, Android.
• Digital Signal Processing experience.
• Geolocation experience (T/FDOA or other externals).
• Machine‑learning framework experience (PyTorch, Tensor Flow).
• Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
• CI/CD experience with Git Lab.
• High-performance computing (CUDA/GPU, parallel processing, threading).
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph preferred.

An active Top Secret SCI clearance is required for this position.
