Cyber Software Engineer Senior

Description: Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Software Engineering professional to provide engineering services for vulnerability research and exploitation. The role focuses on designing, developing, and testing vulnerabilities and exploits in a government‑aligned environment.

• Analyze, assess, develop, and deploy vulnerabilities and exploits.
• Execute development services necessary to design and deploy vulnerabilities and exploits.
• Accompany Government staff to meetings with external partners offering vulnerabilities and exploits to provide initial technical assessment.
• Attend joint development meetings and workshops with cooperating intelligence services and corporate entities.
• Design and execute reliability, security, and other testing and assessment of vulnerabilities and exploits.

The primary work location for the role will be in the Washington Metro Area during the first year, after which the position will transition to Huntsville, Alabama.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in vulnerability research, reverse engineering, or related computer security field.
• Demonstrated programming proficiency in security-oriented areas.
• In‑depth knowledge of mobile and desktop operating systems.
• Prior experience leading development teams in a computer security‑oriented environment focused on Apple iOS, Google Android, and variant operating systems.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer and Information Security, Computer Security, Computer Forensics, Information Systems, or a closely related field.

Skills:

• Experience with memory management and threading.
• In-depth experience in tool development and kernel architecture for Windows, Linux, MacOS, iOS, and Android.
• Software development experience including design, implementation, testing, analysis, and debugging (supporting CNO/CNE).
• Experience performing Software Configuration Management.
• Experience writing unit tests when developing new software and fixing bugs.

This position requires a government security clearance; the applicant must be a U.S. Citizen. Clearance level:
Top Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years.
