We are seeking a Software Developer to support Government activities at Herndon, VA.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Designing, developing and testing mission applications
- Active TS/SCI with full scope poly required
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or a technical discipline related to the specific skill, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience. - Minimum of 11 years related experience.
- Languages:
Ruby, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, JQuery, Ajax, JSON;
Frontend design framework:
Bootstrap;
Frontend JavaScript frameworks:
Angular.js;
Infrastructure: AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, etc.);
Database server:
MySQL, legacy Oracle; - Experience with developing systems in Ruby on Rails
- Proficient in CSS, HTML, JQuery, Ajax, JSON
- Experience with database management (i.e. MySQL)
- Experience with open-source libraries (i.e. JavaScript, Angular.js, Backbone.js, and Bootstrap)
- Experience with design, develop and test (integrated) of mission applications
- Experience with design, develop and test (integrated) RESTful Web Services
- Experience with design, develop and test (integrated) external libraries in multiple languages to interface with the APIs
- Experience with design, develop and test (integrated) web service connectors
- Proficient with enhancing Open Sources ORMs/GEMs to support high performance capabilities
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies/sprints/process
- Experience with using version control software, such as Git Hub
- Experience with Ruby, JavaScript and Angular.js tests
- Familiar with FiDOS development provision process
- Experience with AWS
- Stop/Start EC2 instances
- Developing/Managing S3 buckets
- Familiar with the Load Balancer, Network and DNS processes
- Understanding of the software cycle
- Advanced problem solving skills
- Alignment to a mission-critical role that directly impacts the customer’s ability to effectively execute its mission.
