• Develop software applications as web services written in Java unless otherwise directed by the Sponsor. Examples include Node.js and Angular with Type Script, Spring Boot with Hibernate and messaging, Java (Groovy on Grails), and scripting languages.
• Develop and maintain software applications as web services that interact with data stored in Postgres, MySQL, and other relational databases and/or cloud technologies such as AWS.
• Develop, upgrade, and maintain APIs and search with REST‑like APIs to communicate with other software applications and databases as required by the Sponsor.
• Utilize XML, JSON, or other Sponsor standards for data transfer and metadata management; write SQL queries; improve search and website usability and accessibility by leveraging enterprise capabilities.
• Collaborate with business analysts, UX designers, and other developers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Implement and maintain APIs for seamless integration between different systems; optimize application performance, ensuring scalability and security; troubleshoot and resolve software defects to maintain high quality and reliability.
• Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) for data storage and retrieval; follow best practices for coding, testing, and deployment; participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to existing applications, processes, and supporting legal mandates.
• Experience with microservices, front‑end development using Angular, source‑code management and integration (Git Hub/Git Lab, Jenkins), and agile development environments.

• A university degree or equivalent experience and at least 12 years of relevant professional experience, or an advanced degree and at least 11.5 years of experience, typical for SME level.
• Extensive experience working with this Customer and a clear understanding of the customer architecture.
• Proficiency with AWS and its core services (EC2, S3, RDS), experience with Cloud Formation for creating and maintaining AWS resources.
• Experience programming in an object‑oriented language, preferably Ruby, Python, or Node.js; familiarity with the AWS SDK in at least one of these languages.
• Experience with Jenkins and building Jenkins pipelines using Groovy, not just Jenkins jobs using Bash.
• Experience with Java and Python for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications.
• Experience level hierarchy:
  Developmental (0‑2 years), Full Performance (3‑5 years), Senior (6‑10 years), Expert (11‑15 years), SME (16+ years).
