Schedule: 9/80 Regular (9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – with every other Friday off)

• Translate requirements into working and maintainable solutions for C5 and Cyber Solution Centers.
• Apply technical proficiency across SDLC stages, gather requirements, and work closely with stakeholders to prioritize and scope tasks.
• Serve as a key team member on a Scrum team, instrumental in setting direction and strategy for product and infrastructure development.
• Support engineering team members as a subject‑matter expert in embedded software application development, guiding and directing one or more software engineers.
• Investigate root‑cause of complex issues and implement solutions, working independently or with a multi‑discipline team.
• Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts in software development for target hardware.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional members to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements for the overall system.
• Support and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle—including requirements analysis, design, implementation, hardware‑software integration, and formal test.
• Develop software test plans, procedures, and other relevant technical documentation.
• Utilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, prototype, and evaluate results.
• Participate in peer reviews, identify, track and repair defects.
• Utilize a variety of software languages (primarily C/C++ and Python) to implement software for embedded real‑time operating systems.

• Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; or graduate degree with at least 2 years of prior related experience; or in lieu of a degree, minimum 8 years of prior related experience.
• 3+ years of experience developing applications on simulated and target hardware.
• Experience using a Real‑Time Operating System (RTOS) such as Green Hills Integrity, VxWorks, or similar.

• Object‑oriented design and implementation experience, with exposure to software modeling and UML tools such as IBM Rhapsody or Magic Draw/Cameo.
• Programming experience in Rust.
• Experience developing device drivers and Board Support Packages for real‑time embedded systems.
• Experience with modern C++ techniques.
• Experience with Information Assurance and/or cryptography.
• Experience with NSA Type 1 certification or other software certification such as DO-178.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $95,000 MIN – $177,000 MAX. L3
