At Amazon Web Services (AWS), our team is building a renewed set of Foundational Access Management capabilities for all of Amazon’s digital and physical resources. We focus on protecting customer and corporate data while connecting to all parts of Amazon’s business and worldwide service‑oriented architecture. The role is ideal for engineers who build highly scalable, reliable cloud systems or who enjoy solving complex business problems.

• Design and build a large‑scale next‑generation Authentication Management System.
• Collaborate with leadership to drive key engineering and business decisions that influence the Amazon developer experience.
• Contribute across the full software development and deployment lifecycle—including design, implementation, documentation, deployment, and operations across multiple products.
• Participate in on‑call rotations (approximately one week every two months).

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling) for new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
