Software Engineer - Backend

The opportunity is to contribute as a back-end developer, focusing on clean code, APIs, analytics, and infrastructure to deliver user-focused solutions. You will identify potential risks, contribute to solution development, and create efficient, scalable systems for clients using the latest architectural approaches and open-source tools.

In this role, you will work with the development team to create custom tools, systems, and sites with consistent performance and scalability. You will contribute to mission-forward projects and grow your career with Booz Allen.

• 3+ years of experience with Java
• Experience with microservices and containerization technologies (Docker and Kubernetes)
• Experience with backend frameworks such as Spring Framework or Spring Boot
• Experience with API development, including REST
• Experience with integration and development tools (AWS, Bitbucket, Jenkins)
• Experience with supporting systems engineering efforts in design, solution engineering, and software development
• Experience with Linux OS and Command Line Interface
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• HS diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 Compliant Certification (Security+ or CISSP) within 6 months of start date

• Experience with Open Systems Architecture design principles
• Experience with Dev Ops technologies
• Experience with CI/CD technologies (Ansible, Jenkins, Git)
• Experience with Agile development or Scrum
• Knowledge of non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB)
• Knowledge of Apache NiFi and Kafka
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification
