Software Engineer - Backend
The opportunity is to contribute as a back-end developer, focusing on clean code, APIs, analytics, and infrastructure to deliver user-focused solutions. You will identify potential risks, contribute to solution development, and create efficient, scalable systems for clients using the latest architectural approaches and open-source tools.
In this role, you will work with the development team to create custom tools, systems, and sites with consistent performance and scalability. You will contribute to mission-forward projects and grow your career with Booz Allen.
You Have- 3+ years of experience with Java
- Experience with microservices and containerization technologies (Docker and Kubernetes)
- Experience with backend frameworks such as Spring Framework or Spring Boot
- Experience with API development, including REST
- Experience with integration and development tools (AWS, Bitbucket, Jenkins)
- Experience with supporting systems engineering efforts in design, solution engineering, and software development
- Experience with Linux OS and Command Line Interface
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- HS diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 Compliant Certification (Security+ or CISSP) within 6 months of start date
- Experience with Open Systems Architecture design principles
- Experience with Dev Ops technologies
- Experience with CI/CD technologies (Ansible, Jenkins, Git)
- Experience with Agile development or Scrum
- Knowledge of non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB)
- Knowledge of Apache NiFi and Kafka
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification

Eligible employees may participate in a broad benefits program; eligibility details vary by role and location. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $ (annualized USD).
