Vantor is forging the new frontier of spatial intelligence, helping decision makers and operators navigate what’s happening now and shape what’s coming next. To be eligible for this position, you must be a U.S. citizen and hold an active U.S. Government Security Clearance at the TS/SCI level. The role requires a willingness to obtain a CI polygraph if not already held.
Responsibilities- Design and implement efficient, flexible solutions that can scale for mission‑critical applications.
- Participate in all aspects of the development lifecycle, including planning, requirements development, software design, implementation, build, documentation, testing, deployment and maintenance.
- Apply software standards and processes to produce high‑quality, extensible, and maintainable software solutions.
- Work with cloud technology stacks to perform data extraction, manipulation, transformation, and visualization of geospatial‑temporal data sets.
- Develop analytics/derivative data products to help users extract meaningful knowledge.
- Proactively troubleshoot and solve issues.
- Collaborate with diverse teams of engineers, clients, and users.
- U.S. citizenship and current TS/SCI clearance with willingness to obtain a CI polygraph.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technology field.
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in software development, including design, development, and implementation.
- Proficiency in one multiparadigm programming language (Python, Java, Go, Rust, etc.).
- Experience with data extraction, manipulation, visualization, and analysis of large datasets.
- Experience designing and supporting cloud‑based architectures, including AWS and C2S environments.
- Experience developing and maintaining applications in cloud computing environments.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes in cloud or hybrid environments.
- Proficiency in Linux‑based environments.
- Demonstrated ability to lead small engineering teams and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong problem‑solving mindset and adaptability, with the ability to leverage emerging technologies to solve mission challenges.
- Familiarity with modern software development tools, Dev Sec Ops practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Design, develop, and deploy AI‑native software products that transform large‑scale geospatial data into actionable intelligence and mission‑critical insights.
- Experience with No
SQL data stores such as Elasticsearch, MongoDB, or similar technologies. - Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience designing and implementing a wide variety of geospatial trajectory processing, analysis (e.g., forecasting), and visualization approaches.
- Experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying AI/ML or computer vision models across diverse data types.
Starting pay for this role in the Washington, DC metropolitan area is $ – $ – $ annually. For other states, a geographic cost of labor factor is used to develop market‑driven ranges.
