Golf Recreation Clerk

The Town of Herndon boasts a unique balance of a strong sense of community and being a next generation small town and each employee is pivotal in providing exceptional services to our citizens. The Town has an immediate need for a Golf Recreation Clerk in the Golf Course department.

• Operating point‑of‑sale computer system to collect fees and make reservations.
• Selling merchandise and assisting with daily upkeep of the golf shop.
• Answering the phone and interacting with customers to provide information on services and programs at the facility.
• Assisting the cart staff when needed.

• Previous cash handling experience and golf knowledge is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent oral communication skills.
• Proven ability to multitask.
• Team player and ability to maintain a professional appearance.
• Self‑motivated and able to work well with other staff members.

Available to work a varied schedule (evenings, weekends and weekdays).

Herndon Centennial Golf Course; 909 Ferndale Avenue, Herndon, VA 20170. Due to the nature of a government providing services to the public all duties of this position are required to be fulfilled at the designated worksite in the town. No remote work is available.
