We’re on the hunt for a Civil Project Engineer who’s ready to roll up their sleeves, dive into the details, and help bring complex civil construction projects to life in the fast-growing Herriman area. This isn’t a sit-back-and-watch role—this is where planning meets action, and where your work leaves a visible mark on the world around you.
What You’ll Be DoingThink of yourself as the connective tissue between the field, the office, and the bigger vision. You’ll:
- Support Project Managers and Superintendents in executing civil construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Assist with project scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking (keeping everything humming along smoothly)
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to ensure seamless communication and execution
- Review plans, specifications, and submittals with a sharp eye for detail
- Help manage RFIs, change orders, and project documentation like a pro
- Track quantities, production, and progress in the field
- Participate in site walks and problem-solving sessions when challenges pop up (and they will—this is construction, after all)
- Ensure projects stay aligned with safety standards, quality expectations, and timelines
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- 0–3 years of experience in civil construction or internships that got your boots dusty
- A strong understanding of construction drawings and specs
- Solid organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- A knack for problem-solving and thinking a few steps ahead
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with construction software is a bonus
- A team-first mindset and willingness to learn from experienced builders
