This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building local partnerships, developing group and corporate accounts, and supporting the overall sales strategy for the property. Responsibilities- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase occupancy, revenue, and market share.
- Prospect, solicit, and secure new business from corporate accounts, government travel, sports teams, tour groups, SMERF business, local companies, schools, universities, and community organizations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, event venues, travel partners, and area demand generators.
- Conduct outside sales calls, site visits, follow‑up calls, and networking outreach to generate leads and convert business.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the Herriman City market, including competitors, local events, seasonal demand, and business opportunities.
- Work closely with the General Manager and revenue team to support rate strategy, group pricing, negotiated accounts, and promotional opportunities.
- Respond to group inquiries, corporate rate requests, and local negotiated rate opportunities in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with hotel marketing efforts, including community outreach, online presence, local partnerships, and brand awareness.
- Track sales activity, leads, account production, and follow‑up efforts to ensure accountability and measurable results.
- Represent the Holiday Inn Express Hotel at community events, chamber events, trade shows, networking opportunities, and local business functions.
- Support the hotel team in creating a positive guest experience and ensuring sales commitments are communicated clearly to operations.
- Previous hotel sales, hospitality, customer service, or business development experience preferred.
- Strong communication, relationship‑building, and follow‑up skills.
- Ability to prospect new business and confidently represent the hotel in the local market.
- Knowledge of hotel operations, group sales, corporate accounts, and local negotiated rates is preferred.
- Experience with Choice Hotels, hotel PMS systems, sales platforms, or revenue tools is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts, leads, and deadlines.
- Professional phone, email, and in‑person communication skills.
- Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and comfortable working independently.
- Ability to collaborate with hotel leadership, front desk, housekeeping, and revenue management teams.
- Familiarity with Herriman City, tourism, government, and local business markets is highly desirable.
Compensation: $55,000 per year
