Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage the office function, including accounts receivable, collections, accounts payable, payroll, and resident and employee files for the community, and provide assistance to the Executive Director.

Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school, or minimum of two to three years experience in business office management, finance, or accounting.
  • Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
  • Working knowledge of general accounting, billing, collections, and expense management practices.
  • Working knowledge of human resources, including recruitment, training, payroll, employee relations, state and federal employment laws, and workers’ compensation.
  • Working knowledge of state regulations and care compliance.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications such as accounting and resident management systems.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, and MS Office (required).
  • Ability to build strong relationships with residents, family members, and employees, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to represent the community positively, professionally, and engagingly, fostering meaningful relationships and upholding the organization’s values.
  • Strong mathematical, organizational, and detail‑oriented skills.
  • Ability to work responsibly as a team member and as an individual.
  • Honesty, fairness, dependability, respect for confidentiality and privacy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to follow through with complex and detailed projects to completion.
  • Practice and promote Meridian Policies and Procedures, Mission Statement, Core Values, and Founding Principles.
  • Meet all health requirements and pass background checks.
