Tryfacta is seeking a Nuclear Med Tech -- Days -- JR104807 for our client in Herrin, IL 62948. This is a 13-week contract assignment.

Duration: 13 weeks

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 07:30 AM to 04:00 PM (16:00) 8 hours 30 minutes (including any scheduled break, if applicable)

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Candidates must have hands-on experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a medical imaging environment. Laboratory technicians without nuclear medicine imaging experience are not qualified for this position.
  • Perform a variety of nuclear medicine imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
  • Prepare, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately.
  • Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment to ensure optimal image quality.
  • Acquire, process, and review diagnostic images for completeness and technical quality.
  • Monitor patients throughout procedures, ensuring safety, comfort, and proper care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and procedure documentation.
  • Follow all radiation safety, regulatory, and infection-control guidelines.
  • Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
  • Participate in the department's on-call rotation as required.
  • Assist with quality assurance activities and routine equipment checks to maintain compliance with departmental standards.

To be considered for this position, you should have:

  • Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
  • Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification/registration as required by state and facility guidelines.
  • Experience performing nuclear medicine imaging procedures in a clinical or hospital setting.
  • Knowledge of radiopharmaceutical preparation, administration, and radiation safety practices.
  • Strong patient care, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Basic computer and medical imaging systems proficiency.
  • Ability to participate in the required on-call rotation.
