Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:

Providing comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients in a Medical-Surgical unit during night shifts. The role includes ensuring patient safety, coordinating care, and supporting patient recovery through clinical expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, treatments, and monitor patient vital signs.
• Evaluate patient conditions and document clinical findings accurately.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and escalate concerns as necessary.
• Float to suitable units as required, within scope of practice and competencies.
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS strongly preferred.
• Ability to float across departments within clinical scope.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Comfortable working night shift and every other weekend.
