• Provide direct nursing care for adult Med Surg patients, including ongoing assessment, documentation, and care planning.
• Monitor patient status, administer medications, infusions, and therapies per physician orders; respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, discharge planning, and family education.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record; ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and quality of care; participate in rounds and care conferences as needed.
• Floating requirement: may float to clinically appropriate Med Surg units as needed, within scope of practice and licensure.

• Active RN license in Illinois (or eligible for licensure)
• Certifications:
  
  BLS, NIHSS, and ACLS as required by unit requirements
• Relevant Med Surg nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work nights and float to other Med Surg units as needed
• Education:
  
  Graduate of an accredited nursing program; RN licensure
