Position: Travel Registered Nurse Endoscopy Job

Overview

Registered Nurse – Endoscopy in Herrin, Illinois, starting 07/27/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay ranges from $2,431 to $2,602, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift pattern is 4x10 days. The assignment takes place in a hospital endoscopy unit. Typical daily hours are 6:30 am–5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with on-call requirements. Overtime may be available, and there is float to other facilities within the organization when needed.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care for endoscopy procedures including colon; EGD; ERCP; PEG tube placement; bronchoscopy; esophageal stents; and related pain procedures.
  • Administer moderate sedation, monitor patient status, manage airway as needed, and respond to intra-procedural changes.
  • Perform EPIC charting; document assessments, plans, procedures, and perioperative discharge information.
  • Admit and discharge patients in the perioperative area; coordinate care with anesthesia and surgical teams.
  • Assess patient needs (physical, mental, spiritual) and contribute to an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Participate in on-call coverage and float to other facilities within the organization when required.
Requirements
  • Current Illinois Registered Nurse license.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Endoscopy experience with proficiency in colon, EGD, ERCP, PEG tube, bronchoscopy, esophageal stent, and pain procedures.
  • Ability to perform moderate sedation.
  • EPIC charting experience.
  • Able to admit and discharge patients in the perioperative area.
  • Willingness to float to other facilities within the organization as needed.
