• Provide direct nursing care to Med-Surg patients, including those on the medical stroke unit
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitor patient responses, and adjust care plans as needed
• Perform neurological assessments (NIHSS) and monitor for changes in status, escalating concerns per protocol
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, evidence-based care and timely discharge planning
• Document care, assessments, and interventions accurately in the electronic documentation system
• Maintain patient safety, infection control practices, and adherence to unit policies

• Active registered nurse license (Illinois) or eligibility for licensure in Illinois
• NIHSS certification required for the medical stroke unit
• Med-Surg nursing experience preferred; ability to work nights in a hospital setting
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN degree)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and adapt to night shift demands
