Salary
$15.00 to $18.00 per hour. Commission structure pays you for every transaction processed. Retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $1.89 per hour on top of hourly rate.

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in nationwide pawn store locations. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides. They greet, engage, and interact with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. They work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity; actual pay varies by location, qualifications, and experience.
- Greets and interacts with all customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
- Maintains a clean, stocked, and well‑displayed sales floor.
- Processes sales and loan transactions per established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items per policies and regulations.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Completes assigned training successfully.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willing to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting) as required by law.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
- Minimum age: 18 years.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team‑oriented.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient basic math calculations.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Flexible to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2‑8% commission based on the gross profit of personal performance. Applicants receive more details during the interview process.
