Maintenance Worker II - Herrin Hospital

Position Summary

Responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on building and plant operations systems, access control, and departmental equipment for all SIH entities assigned.

• High school or equivalent
• Trade school certificate or building operations certification preferred

• Proven experience in the engineering field is required.
• Basic troubleshooting skills in facility operation and systems.
• Proficient in reading and understanding technical manuals and reports.
• Use of work tools of various trades.
• Effective interpretation and utilization of design, record, as‑built, and reference drawings.
• Experience using maintenance management software preferred.

• Intermittent lifting and carrying of 50 pounds that can be modified.
• Walks and stands most of the day.
• Stoops and climbs frequently.
• Near‑visual acuity and finger dexterity required to perform repairs on equipment.
• Color discrimination required to differentiate electrical wire colors.

Commensurate with experience: $19.79 to $29.69
