The Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery in the Department of Surgery at Penn State Health, Penn State College of Medicine, which currently includes 6 Full Time and 2 Part-Time Colorectal Surgeons and one Full-Time PhD scientist enjoys a long history of excellent clinical outcomes and important clinical and translational research. We are seeking a highly qualified, clinically strong, academically oriented and motivated Board-certified/eligible Colon and Rectal Surgeon at the Assistant/Associate Professor level to help us address the needs of affiliate hospitals within the Penn State Health system that serves patients and communities across 15 counties in central Pennsylvania.

  • High quality clinical program treating patients afflicted with a broad spectrum of benign and malignant diseases of the colon, rectum and anus.
  • High quality academic program which includes a funded research laboratory, established tissue biobank, Family Registry and IBD Center.

  • Robust administrative and clinical staff support, including in-patient and out-patient Advanced Providers.
Requirements
  • A strong commitment to collegial teamwork and outstanding patient care, Medical Student, Surgical Resident and Colorectal Surgery Fellow education and a genuine interest and dedication to scholarly activity and impactful research.
  • MD, DO, or equivalent degree
  • BC/BE in Colon and Rectal Surgery
  • Ability to acquire a license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania
  • Must be able to obtain valid federal and state narcotics certificates
