Job Description & How to Apply Below

Milton Hershey School (MHS) is one of the world’s best pre‑K through 12th grade private schools, where approximately 2,200 students from disadvantaged backgrounds are provided with a cost‑free home and a top‑notch education. Thanks to the generosity of Milton and Catherine Hershey in 1909, the school is fully endowed today, with the resources to ensure students can thrive. The school has prepared over 12,000 graduates to lead fulfilling and productive lives and is expanding to serve more students.

MHS provides every student with an exceptional career focused education which begins at elementary school. At the high school level, all students select one of ten CTE Program Areas in which they attain relevant certifications and real‑world work experiences in their chosen field of study.

MHS is seeking a dynamic High School Business Teacher for its Business program area to provide high quality engaging, rigorous, and relevant instruction. MHS’s teachers prepare and deliver lessons and assessments to differentiate instruction, while extensively utilizing data to analyze outcomes and drive achievement to ensure student success. MHS Business Teachers also collaborate to refine and adapt the curriculum to evolve with current business needs to ensure students are well prepared for the world of work and/or further education.

They also maintain an Advisory Board of community stakeholders to provide input on the curriculum, integrate external resources for instruction, and facilitate real‑world work experiences for students.

MHS Teachers are deeply committed to remediating students to perform well, which requires extensive cross‑functional collaboration with a whole child approach to student development. They are required to schedule and complete additional duties to their teaching schedules. To help ensure success, the school provides well‑resourced classrooms, state‑of‑the‑art technology, small class sizes, planning periods, and extensive professional development.
