Assistant Professor – Translational Research and Developmental Therapeutics
The Four Diamond Childhood Cancer Research Center at Penn State University College of Medicine (Hershey, PA) seeks an Assistant Professor specializing in epigenetics and 3D chromatin organization. The successful candidate will investigate the molecular mechanisms regulating malignant transformation and cellular proliferation in leukemia, and develop novel pediatric malignancy treatments.
- Perform complex experiments to analyze epigenomic regulation of gene expression and 3D chromatin organization in normal and malignant cells.
- Use high‑throughput techniques such as ChIP‑seq, CUT&RUN, CUT&Tag, RNA‑seq, ATAC‑seq, GRO‑seq, Hi‑C, Hi‑ChIP, and 3‑C/4‑C.
- Design, execute, and interpret experiments, publish findings, and propose future research directions.
- Ph.D. in a relevant field;
Ph.D. must be in hand by start date. - Hands‑on experience with at least several of the above genomic techniques.
- Strong, independent research record and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across disciplines and secure research funding.
