Manager, FDS Data & Reporting

Summary of Role

The Manager FDS Data & Reporting will partner with financial stakeholders to evaluate and define reporting requirements, design and develop reporting solutions that leverage financial reporting platforms, and support validation of foundational data products for finance and enterprise‑wide reporting initiatives.

• Evaluate Business Needs & Solution Development – Partners closely with Finance leadership, Controllership, FP&A, cross‑functional business leaders and technology teams to ensure reporting solutions align with business priorities and enterprise data governance expectations.
• Report/Model Design Development – Leads development, execution, governance and transformation of financial reporting within finance and controllership teams, owning creation, enhancement, and delivery of new reporting.
• Data Governance & Report Validation – Supports governance and validation of enterprise financial reporting, ensuring data integrity through robust validation and reconciliation.
• Support Transformational Initiatives and Projects – Cross‑supports FDS team on projects and initiatives, championing continuous improvement in financial processes and use of key financial system solutions.

• Knowledge of SAP S4 modules and interdependencies.
• Proficiency with reporting tools – Power BI, Datasphere, Alteryx.
• Experience with AI tools – Co‑Pilot and willingness to learn additional AI tools.
• Storytelling and translation of business requirements into technical report design.
• Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls with a focus on data accuracy and completeness.
• Basic understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting processes.
• Overall understanding of information technology concepts.
• Analytical thinking.
• Basic knowledge of Hershey business processes and process improvement activities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages a plus.
• Willingness to work odd hours to support regions and projects.
• Capability to document and improve processes.

• Education – Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, or related field; business systems emphasis preferred.
• CPA or MBA preferred. Major public accounting experience a plus.
• Experience – At least 5‑10 years in financial accounting, reporting, and business systems.
• Experience must demonstrate ability to function in technical financial systems and accounting/reporting environments.
• Proven process improvement skills.
