The Occupational Therapist, Hand Therapy, will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of seasoned therapists (Occupational, Physical, and Speech) with expertise in hand rehabilitation and orthopedics as well as neurologic, vestibular, and sports rehabilitation among others. The Occupational Therapist, Hand Therapy, will work closely with orthopedic & plastic surgeons, and primary care providers in treating pre-operative, non-operative and post-operative patients with upper extremity bone & joint injuries and peripheral nerve conditions in pediatrics, adults and geriatrics.
As a member of an academic medical center there is strong focus on education and training with opportunities to participate in rounds/educational events and to mentor students and medical residents.
- Currently licensed to practice as an Occupational Therapist by the state of employment. If working under a temporary license, Occupational Therapy license in the state of employment must be obtained within three (3) months of employment.
- AHA BLS upon orientation completion
- Minimum of five (5) years? experience in Hand Therapy preferred. Certification in Hand Therapy preferred.
