Position Overview
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health ADHD research group is seeking a Human Research Technologist (Professional or Intermediate Professional) to assist with several research studies focused on the assessment and treatment of children and teenagers with ADHD and related mental health disorders. The studies involve neurophysiological (EEG) and possibly other neuroimaging modalities.
Responsibilities- Oversee daily duties across several studies.
- Draft and update IRB submissions.
- Score structured rating scales.
- Conduct structured interviews of youth.
- Prep and score ecological momentary analysis (EMA) surveys.
- Collect and clean EEG data.
- Assist with grant administration and manuscript preparation.
- Train new hires and rotating students in the lab.
- Assist with diagnostic assessments and behavioral treatments for children under the supervision of MD and PhD faculty (optional).
40‑hour per week (Monday‑Friday), with occasional evening hours up to 7:30 pm.
Work location:
Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinic, 22 Northeast Drive, Hershey, PA.
- Prior experience in clinical research.
- Experience with database creation and management (REDCAP, Qualtrics, SPSS, or related programs).
- Experience in behavioral health research preferred.
- Experience with EEG desirable.
- Programming experience with Presentation desired.
- Comfortable working with children ages 6 and up.
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Preference will be given to applicants with training and interest in pediatric mental health.
Minimum Requirements- Professional:
Associate Degree, no prior relevant work experience required; prior experience accepted in lieu of education. - Intermediate Professional:
Associate Degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship.
Salary & BenefitsSalary range: $38,300.00 – $61,000.00. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage; retirement plans; paid time off; 75% tuition discount for employees and eligible spouses and children.
