Summary Of Position:

Responsible for preparing patients for and performing routine Neurophysiology Laboratory (END) procedures. Collect data pertinent to the interpretation of test results. Assists Senior Neurophysiology Technologists or medical staff with complex recordings.

Minimum Qualification(s):
  • Graduate of a Neurophysiology Technician Program or at least 6 months job related experience.
  • BLS certification required or must obtain within 1 month from date of hire.
  • Competency in multiple electrode application techniques required.
  • Positive interpersonal skills with patients, families, lab staff, physicians, and other members of the hospital staff required.
  • A working knowledge of neuro-anatomy, physiology, basic electronics, electrical safety, END instrumentation, pattern recognition, and various medical and pharmacological conditions that influence END procedures required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
Preferred Qualification(s):
  • Enrollment in or graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Electroneuro diagnostic (END Program), or an Associate’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university is preferred.
  • Successful completion of Part I of ABRET exam preferred.
