Penn State Health is seeking a
Clinical Pharmacist - Specialty Pharmacy to join our rapidly expanding, nationally accredited specialty pharmacy program. This is an exceptional opportunity for a Clinical Pharmacist, Specialty Pharmacist, Ambulatory Care Pharmacist, or PGY1-trained Pharmacist looking to practice at the top of their license within Pennsylvania's only academic medical center.
As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services, optimize medication therapy, perform clinical interventions, verify medication orders, evaluate physician prescriptions, and collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes.
This role focuses on specialty medications, medication therapy management (MTM), pharmacotherapy optimization, adherence monitoring, disease state management, patient education, medication safety, and patient access initiatives. You'll also partner closely with specialty pharmacy teams supporting prior authorizations, financial assistance programs, manufacturer assistance, benefits investigations, and medication access, ensuring patients receive life-changing therapies quickly and safely.

- Deliver comprehensive clinical pharmacy services for complex specialty disease states
- Perform medication therapy management (MTM) and medication optimization
- Conduct patient counseling, adherence monitoring, and ongoing pharmacotherapy management
- Collaborate directly with multidisciplinary care teams throughout an academic medical center
- Drive evidence-based medication management and clinical decision-making
- Participate in patient education, provider education, and quality improvement initiatives
