Overview
The Spa At The Hotel Hershey, affectionately known as the Chocolate Spa®, is a full-service European-style spa with 40,000 sq ft of relaxation space and 59 treatment rooms offering views of the gardens. The Spa Director is responsible for the strategic oversight and financial performance of a luxury spa facility at The Hotel Hershey, focused on long-term vision, business development, and profit maximization while upholding the highest brand standards.
As a Full-Time Team Member, compensation includes wage plus benefits such as Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage beginning the first day of the next month after you begin working, 401K contribution, paid time off, and other standard benefits.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute a long-term vision and strategic plan for the Spa to drive business growth and competitive positioning within the luxury market.
- Full P&L responsibility, including budget creation, financial forecasting, and active management to achieve annual revenue targets.
- Oversee the Spa facility to ensure optimal performance, luxury brand compliance, and superior guest satisfaction across all departments; maintain relationships within the spa membership club.
- Directly mentor managers and oversee departmental heads; lead training and professional development strategies for the entire Spa team.
- Identify and implement business development opportunities, including new services, retail partnerships, and marketing initiatives to enhance revenue streams.
- Collaborate with senior Hotel Hershey leadership and HE&R locations to align spa operations with corporate goals, including partnering with reservations and revenue management teams to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Ensure all facility maintenance, equipment upgrades, health, and safety protocols meet five-star luxury standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Hospitality, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 7-10+ years of progressive experience in spa or hospitality management at a senior leadership level.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale, high-revenue facilities ($10M+ annual turnover).
- Industry certifications (e.g., ISPA) or relevant state licensure is highly desirable.
- Post-Employment - Must obtain RAMP Certification. Must attend and successfully pass a CPR and First Aid training course.
- Deep understanding of luxury brand standards and guest service excellence (experience with Forbes Travel Guide rated properties at either a four or five star level preferred).
