Director, Enterprise Intelligence and Learning Capability Acceleration

This role can be based remotely within the United States, with travel to Hershey, PA approximately 1–2 times per month. The Director, Enterprise Intelligence & Learning Capability Acceleration will lead a newly established enterprise capability within Consumer & Commercial Intelligence focused on helping Hershey anticipate change, accelerate learning, and translate intelligence into growth action. This leader will build and scale the connections between enterprise foresight, consumer and market intelligence, M&A support, AI-enabled learning, supplier innovation, and business intelligence automation.

The role is responsible for creating a modern, always-on intelligence ecosystem that combines consumer understanding, external signals, advanced analytics, AI-powered learning, and automated intelligence capabilities to inform growth decisions across strategy, innovation, portfolio management, commercial execution, and enterprise transformation.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead Hershey's enterprise capability to identify and translate consumer, cultural, competitive, category, marketplace, retail, and technology trends into actionable growth strategies.
  • Build an integrated external intelligence ecosystem that informs portfolio, innovation, commercial, brand, retailer, and enterprise decisions while supporting growth platform development, category expansion, and acquisition opportunities.
  • Drive signal monitoring, scenario planning, and opportunity assessment to distinguish long-term shifts from short-term trends and guide smarter investment decisions.
  • Define and execute the company's learning transformation strategy, accelerating how insights are generated, synthesized, and applied across the organization.
  • Lead the use of AI and emerging technologies to improve insight generation, signal detection, concept development, and decision support while maintaining a human-centered approach grounded in consumer understanding.
  • Identify innovative methodologies, partners, and operating models that increase learning speed, quality, efficiency, and business impact.
  • Lead the strategy and roadmap for business intelligence automation, reducing manual reporting and enabling teams to focus on interpretation, action planning, and growth decisions.
  • Partner across Business Intelligence, Information Services, Commercial, Finance, Strategy, and Growth Office teams to build scalable, automated intelligence capabilities that improve visibility, consistency, decision quality, and enterprise-wide access to actionable insights.

Minimum Education & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, Psychology, Sociology, Economics, Data Science, or a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in consumer insights, commercial intelligence, strategy, analytics, foresight, innovation, consulting, or related disciplines; CPG, retail, or snacking industry experience preferred.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives, capability-building efforts, or transformation programs that require strong change management and executive stakeholder alignment.
  • Experience leveraging AI, automation, advanced analytics, syndicated data, consumer research platforms, social listening, trend sensing, and business intelligence tools to drive business outcomes preferred.
  • Experience partnering with Strategy, Corporate Development, or M&A teams to evaluate market, category, competitive, consumer, and growth opportunities preferred.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, including building, coaching, developing, and leading high-performing teams through change and transformation.
