Technical Writer

We are seeking a Technical Writer to create and maintain training materials, SOPs, and work instructions for manufacturing equipment in a Pilot Plant environment. This role partners with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Safety teams to develop clear, accurate, and safety-focused documentation.

• Observe equipment and production processes to document procedures.
• Interview SMEs and gather technical information.
• Create and update SOPs, work instructions, training guides, and equipment documentation.
• Capture photos and videos to support training content.
• Review and improve existing documentation, identifying content gaps.
• Ensure materials meet safety, quality, and operational requirements.
• Validate training content with operators and cross-functional teams.

• 2-3+ years of Technical Writing experience in food manufacturing, CPG, or a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience creating training materials and technical documentation.
• Strong technical writing and procedural documentation skills.
• Experience documenting manufacturing equipment, processes, or operational procedures.
• Ability to simplify complex technical information into user-friendly instructions.
• Comfortable working on the production floor and wearing PPE.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with photo/video content creation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
