Position: Employee Support Leader

Hersheypark amusement park spans 121 acres, welcoming guests to experience Hersheypark Happy all year long! As the largest amusement park in Pennsylvania, Hersheypark is home to more than 70 rides, including 15 coasters and 20+ kiddie rides, a zoo, and an entire water park.

This position assists full-time department managers in overseeing daily Employee Support functions focused on staffing, administration, and call‑center operations for departments such as Attractions, Food & Beverage, Guest Experience, Games, Retail, Park Services, Employee Experience, Safety & Security, and Wardrobe. Team members will train, coach, and supervise up to 15 people during daily operations, serving as a supervisor/manager on duty for many shifts.

Job Duties
  • Coordinate, oversee, and execute daily operations during shifts to ensure the team follows all approved SOPs and provides exceptional service and timely responses to managers and employees.
  • Provide positive leadership and oversight to the Employee Support team, acting as supervisor/manager on duty and adapting to changing needs and opportunities.
  • Oversee the new‑employee onboarding process, utilizing the company’s new‑hire procedures and providing continuous feedback to managers.
  • Handle a high volume of incoming and outgoing phone calls and greet and assist employees, parents, and department managers regarding employment, availability, and schedules.
  • Provide training and coaching to team members using scheduling and time‑keeping software (UKG Workforce Management) to ensure all procedures and processes are followed, resulting in correct scheduling and pay.
  • Identify, evaluate, and resolve employee schedule and attendance opportunities using past practice and approved guidelines.
  • Give leadership and assist the front office team in diffusing challenges with team members and finding positive outcomes for all involved.
  • Oversee the creation of daily staffing reports, pulling information from scheduling systems and internal databases and sorting the data within Microsoft Excel before disseminating sheet to department managers.
  • Assist with coordination of supplemental staffing programs such as volunteer programs and temporary staffing services.
  • Coordinate and facilitate interview sessions by maintaining accountability of all new‑hire information to ensure effective hiring practices and onboarding processes, and participate in recruitment opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older on the date of applying.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience working in a professional office setting is preferred.
  • Experience onboarding and training new employees is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and be self‑motivated to perform all aspects of the job.
  • Detail‑oriented organizational skills.
  • Friendly, upbeat, and capable of interacting well with guests.
  • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines.
  • Ability to safeguard confidential information and work without a conflict of interest.
Job Demands
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with shifts starting as early as 5:45 AM and ending as late as 1:30 AM.
  • Must be able to work a minimum of three (3) days and 28 hours per week throughout the year.
  • Physical requirements include standing for periods up to five (5) hours at a time, walking, bending, and lifting up to twenty (20) pounds without assistance.
  • Regular inside work is required, and outside work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, and other inclement weather).
