The Hershey Company is seeking our next Senior Director of Procurement to lead Packaging and International procurement category strategy development and implementation. This position will report to the Chief Procurement Officer and is responsible for global packaging in addition to direct and indirect materials & services in support of Hershey's International business unit. The role offers the opportunity to shape procurement strategy at scale, influence enterprise performance, build world‑class capabilities, and make a lasting impact.

The Senior Director of Procurement – Packaging & International is a highly visible leader and strategic business partner focused on value creation, supply resilience, supplier innovation, risk management and organizational leadership. This position develops and executes procurement strategies that accelerate growth, improve bottom‑line costs and drive cash flow while delivering sustainability objectives and risk management outcomes. Through strong relationships and leadership of a high‑performing team, the individual will deliver topline and bottom‑line objectives that provide a competitive edge.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee an annual spend across multiple categories and regions
  • Drive category management, negotiation and contract strategies, supplier relationship management, commodity management, physical supply continuity, sustainability and quality
  • Execute sustainability strategies that translate Hershey commitments into action across packaging, environment and regenerative agriculture
  • Partner with executive leadership to drive commercial strategies and business resiliency to achieve sustainable topline and bottom‑line results
  • Lead strategy development and long‑range procurement planning
  • Progress digital and technology implementation plans to unlock efficiency and incremental value creation opportunities
  • Develop risk management strategies to reduce volatility, ensure predictability and mitigate supply risks
  • Develop and coach a team of approximately 35 to enhance organizational capabilities, talent succession plans and leadership development
  • Ensure robust governance, compliance and procurement policy adherence
Experiences
  • Proven strategic leader with the ability to define and execute enterprise‑wide procurement strategies aligned to business goals
  • Deep expertise in strategic sourcing, commodity risk management, and implementation of procurement best practices across global markets
  • Demonstrated leadership of complex negotiations and strategic supplier relationships
  • Strong commercial and supply chain acumen, with end‑to‑end understanding of commercialization, operations, and market dynamics
  • Experienced in influencing senior stakeholders and building trusted partnerships across global commercial and functional teams
  • Track record of building, developing, and leading high‑performing teams with a focus on talent and succession planning
  • Strong analytical and data‑driven decision‑making capabilities
  • Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and delivering measurable outcomes
Education

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Packaging, Engineering or a related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.

Experience

10–15 years of experience in procurement and a minimum of 7 years in a leadership role within the CPG industry. Experience with packaging, ingredients, commodities and service procurement is preferred.
