Position SummaryPenn State Health Children's Hospital is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join our Neonatal-Perinatal team, the only Level IV NICU in central Pennsylvania. Our NICU cares for a diverse, complex population, including extremely premature infants, those with congenital anomalies, genetic disorders, congenital heart disease, hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, and conditions requiring ECMO or advanced surgical care.
The NNP will provide advanced, evidence-based, family-centered care, collaborating with attending neonatologists, fellows, residents, nurses, and specialty staff. This role offers autonomy, opportunities for mentorship and education, and participation in 24/7 in-house coverage to ensure seamless care.
Minimum Qualifications- Master's degree in nursing from an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) program
- National certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC)
- Current Pennsylvania RN and CRNP licensure (or eligible)
- Minimum of two (2) years RN experience in a high-acuity NICU
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Prior Level III or IV NICU experience
