MHS provides students with cost‑free medical, dental, and psychological care through expert staff and advanced facilities, including a 40‑bed health center, three school nurse clinics, and three dental clinics. We are seeking a part‑time, 10‑month
* Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Dental Services Department. In this role, the CNA will support the dental clinic driver by accompanying students recovering from dental procedures/sedation and safely escorting them to and from off‑campus specialty appointments. The position also includes providing emotional support, caregiving, palliative care, and supervision while ensuring accountability, student safety, and confidentiality in accordance with school protocols.
* This 10‑month position typically includes summers, holidays, and school breaks off. The role works up to 29 hours per week on a flexible schedule, generally including student transports on Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 7:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., two Wednesdays per month from 7:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., and student recovery care on most Fridays from 7:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Hours may vary based on student appointments, specialty office availability, and the timing of school breaks and holidays.
The hourly pay range for this position is $19.92 to $26.60, based on experience. Part‑time employees are eligible for a retirement savings plan, an employee assistance program (EAP), free meals while on duty, and discounts in the Hershey area.
QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required
Valid current certification from a state approved Nursing Assistant training program or equivalent required
Minimum of 1 year experience as certified nursing or medical assistant
Experience working with or around children & youth preferred
Current CPR and First Aid certifications
Physically able to lift and assist sedated students
Experience with Microsoft applications and other systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional multi‑tasking and organizational skills
HIPAA compliant to maintain student confidentiality
Candidates must be willing to actively engage with students beyond the scope of their job responsibilities
