Penn State Health is seeking an accomplished nursing executive to serve as Director of Nursing for the Hershey Outpatient Surgery Center (HOSC), a high-performing ambulatory surgery center dedicated to delivering exceptional surgical care in a patient-centered environment.
Reporting as a key member of the leadership team, the Director of Nursing provides strategic and operational oversight for all perioperative nursing services, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and evidence-based care. This leader will drive clinical excellence, operational performance, regulatory compliance, workforce engagement, and continuous quality improvement across the center.

Operational Oversight
+ Approximately 8,400 surgical cases annually
+ 55 employees across perioperative services
+ 7 Operating Rooms
+ Multidisciplinary clinical and operational teams

The Hershey Outpatient Surgery Center supports a diverse surgical portfolio, including:

+ Orthopedic Surgery
+ Otolaryngology (ENT)
+ Urology
+ Gynecology
+ Colorectal Surgery
+ Pain Management
+ Ophthalmology
+ Plastic Surgery
+ Pediatric Surgery
Key Leadership Responsibilities
+ Provide strategic direction for perioperative nursing practice and patient care delivery.
+ Foster a culture of patient safety, accountability, collaboration, and clinical excellence.
+ Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
+ Partner with physicians, anesthesia providers, and operational leaders to optimize surgical services and patient outcomes.
+ Lead workforce planning, talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
+ Drive operational performance through quality, safety, patient experience, and financial stewardship metrics.
+ Champion process improvement and innovation to enhance efficiency and care delivery.

** MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):*
* + Bachelors degree
+ Seven (7) Years Related Experience
+ Five (5) Years Management Experience
+ Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact
