Job Summary
The Graduate Nurse Residency Program is a full‑time RN position that creates a seamless educational transition into the nursing world. The resident remains full‑time on one unit for the entire year and actively participates in all learning opportunities offered. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a designated group of patients.

The 30‑bed intensive care unit serves patients with critical care diagnoses of the heart and circulatory system. The unit also cares for patients on mechanical circulatory support devices including extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), left ventricular assist devices (LVAD), right ventricular assist devices (RVAD), total artificial hearts, and intra‑aortic balloon pumps.
Minimum Qualifications- Graduate Nurse with a Temporary Practice Permit or currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
- Graduated within one (1) year of the cohort start date.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) prior to the end of the orientation period.
- Required to enroll in a baccalaureate in nursing degree program within one year of hire and complete the degree within four years of hire if hired after July 1, 2015 (not required for hire dates prior to June 30, 2015).
- RN license, critical care experience, professional nursing certification, and ACLS.
