RN, Surgical Assistant, Operating Room Nurse

Surgical Nurse - Ortho/Neuro Experience Preferred

This is a 13-week contract position.

3 × 12 hour shifts, from 9 AM to 9 PM, totaling 36 hours per week. On-call duty is required.

The Surgical Nurse will facilitate patient care during surgeries and assist with preoperative and postoperative procedures. The ideal candidate must be adaptable and possess the ability to collaborate with a surgical team in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the surgical procedures in the operating room.
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields and surgical instruments.
• Collaborate with surgeons and surgical teams during operations.
• Monitor patient vitals and ensure patient safety.
• Provide patient education and support to patients and families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the surgical nursing field.
• Experience in Scrub and Circulate roles is a plus.
• Level 1 Trauma experience preferred.
• Ortho/Neuro surgical experience required.
• Experience with DaVinci robotics is a plus.
