Are you an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) leader, Nurse Manager, Transplant Coordinator, Clinical Nurse Leader, or Nursing Manager looking to advance your career in one of the nation's leading academic transplant programs?

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Manager, Transplant Program to lead a multidisciplinary team supporting patients across the solid organ transplant continuum—from referral and evaluation through transplantation and lifelong post-transplant care.

• Lead a highly engaged team of seven Transplant Nurse Coordinators and clinical professionals.
• Manage nursing operations across the entire transplant continuum, including referral, evaluation, waitlist management, transplant, discharge, and post-transplant care.
• Partner closely with an experienced Director of Transplant Services to advance strategic initiatives, quality improvement, and program expansion.
• Practice within Pennsylvania's premier academic medical center, collaborating with nationally recognized transplant physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Lead a heart transplant program recognized for exceptional three-year transplant outcomes.
• Influence the future of transplant nursing through evidence-based practice, innovation, and patient-centered care.

• Provide clinical and operational leadership for the Transplant Program and Transplant Nurse Coordinator team.
• Oversee nursing operations across pre-transplant, transplant, and post-transplant services.
• Drive transplant quality metrics, patient outcomes, regulatory compliance, and operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with UNOS, CMS, OPTN, and transplant accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with transplant surgeons, cardiologists, nephrologists, hepatologists, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, social workers, and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Improve patient access, referral management, care coordination, and transplant program growth.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives, patient safety efforts, workflow optimization, and operational excellence.
• Mentor, develop, and engage nursing staff while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an appropriate allied health or hospital leadership position required.

• Masters degree in a healthcare related field.
• Strong candidate will have one (1) or more years of experience with transplant and or cardiovascular services.
• Managerial and financial experience within a hospital setting preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret and produce financial plans and reports preferred.
